we are so lucky

We have the most wonderful friends. Last night we spent the evening with a few of them and everyone had so much fun. It was great to see all of the kids running around playing together and thanks to my friend Jenny, you can see some pictures of all of the action here. Xander loves to play with his friends Harry, Ashenafi and Simon and talked about them the whole way home.

We are so grateful for all of the people that have come into our lives over the past 5 years since we've been living here. Our adoption especially, has given us some very dear friends. We've had several people offer to help take care of Xander while we travel to Africa to get Ayla and I've even had two friends offer to travel with me if Dan was to stay home with Xander. It's nice to know that we have people we can count on and that we all can be there for each other. We may not have any relatives in town, but we definitely have family....
